Frankie is a queer lighting designer based in Sydney, taking a keen interest in how light and aesthetics alter experiences in space. As a Deans Scholar graduate of the University of Wollongong, they design theatre, dance and performance across a range of aesthetics.
They currently work on the lighting team at the Sydney Opera House, and also recently debuted new works with Erth, as part of Sydney Festival 2021, and at the Sydney Opera House.
Their lighting design for dance works in include but is not exclusive to, Lucky Lartey's Infusion (2021), BlackBirds Reclaim (2019), Cloe Fournier's 'Mea Culpa' (2019), Vicki Van Hout's 'Plenty Serious Talk Talk (2018) and Omer Backley-Astrachan's 'Valley and Wildebeest' (2018), and their lighting for theatre includes Cheryn Frost's Hydrolic Fucking (2019), Erth's Badu (2021), Erth's Prehistoric World (2021), Erth's Bird Fox Monster (2017), Tom William Mitchell By Mark Rogers (2017) and a variety of Pact's in house works from 2019.
