Allie Graham is a Western Sydney-based dance artist whose artistic practice spans across contemporary dance, physical theatre, performance art and installation. She trained at Ev & Bow Fulltime Dance Centre and Sydney Dance Company through their Pre-Professional Year receiving the Mary Zuber Scholarship. During this time, she worked with renowned choreographers Kristina Chan, Thomas Bradley, Zachary Lopez, Antony Hamilton, Llyod Newson and Rafael Bonachela.
Allie has featured in many productions across dance and physical theatre. Most recently, Allie toured as a soloist with Opera Australia in Strindberg's Ghost Sonata (2019), casted as the "The Milkmaid", directed by prestigious stage director Greg Eldridge (UK).
Allie has worked extensively for Israeli choreographer Omer Backley-Astrachan performing his solo work Valley in Sydney Fringe Festival (2016) and touring internationally as an ensemble work to perform in the Maholohet Festival at the Suzanne Dellal Centre (Tel Aviv 2017).
Allie is a founding member of Catapult Dance Company directed by Cadi McCarthy. She has been engaged by international artists Lee Brummer, co-director of ilDance Sweden (2018) and Rachel Erdos (Israel) with future performance seasons in Sweden (2020) and Australia.
Allie is a versatile performer who has collaborated with and performed for renowned International and Australian choreographers, composers and dramaturges including Kay Armstrong, Cloé Fournier, Cass Mortimer Eipper and Charmene Yap, Sue Healey, Eileen Kramer, Justene Williams (Biennale of Sydney), Eliza Cooper (S.X.A.E), Nick Cave, Caetlyn Watson and Willi Dorner.
As an emerging choreographer, Allie has presented her solo work Road Not Taken at the Art Gallery of NSW (Art After Hours 2014), collaborated with Berlin-based designer Caroline McMillan for AURA-MATON'(TEI Conference 2020) and featured as a solo dancer in the LEXUS Next Campaign for Sydney Dance Company (2016).
